Can I update the website myself?

Yes, most websites that I build are based on Content Management Systems, such as Joomla, WordPress and Drupal. These systems allow you to easily update your website from any computer that has internet access and a web browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox etc.

Do I really need a website?

This depends on your type of business but as a business or organization you are expected to have an online presence. You can inform your potential clients about your operating hours, the products that you sell, services that you provide location of your business etc. Most people will prefer to look up the answers to these questions on your website instead of calling you on the phone.

How much does it cost if I want you to update it for me?

We charge $40 per hour billed in 1/2 hour increments. Most simple updates can be done in an hour or less.

How long does it take to build a website?

A website can be completed in just a few days, or it can take several weeks and months. There are two main factors which contribute to the time it takes to develop a website. First, the size of the website, and second, the amount of time it takes the website owner to provide the needed content and feedback.

Can you guarantee my website will be listed in the major search engines?

No and no reputable company should promise of high search engine ranking. Getting a website listed in search engines is not an exact science. All my websites are optimized for search engine placement, and I will do my best to help you get listed in major search engines, but ultimately the only way to be assured of high search engine rankings is to frequently update your website with great content that people want to read.

What is your payment policy?

This depends on the project but I’d like to get 20% of the agreed price before I begin and the remaining 80% upon completion of the website. If it is a big project then we can talk about monthly payment plans!

If there are any problems, do you offer support service?

Yes! If there are any problems with your website's functionality, it is my responsibility to fix the issue, unless problem is caused by you or someone else who was hired to help you.

What is a Host?

A Host is a computer that stores your website data. When clients type in your web address they are directed to your host's computers, which will then display your site on the internet. The cost for this service greatly varies but it can be as low as $60-$80 a year. I can help you to find the best and most affordable hosting for your website. It depends the size of your website; I can also host it on my server for $50 a year.

What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address of your website. For example www.yourname.com is a domain name. Because domain names need to be unique you will need to register one for your company so no one else can use your address. The cost for this service is between $10 and $20 a year. I can assist to register and setup your domain name for a $20 fee plus the domain name cost.
